Week 8, start of 2nd half

 

Lanark scores record 21 runs

Since the wood bat era began in 2003, no team has scored as many as Lanark did against Weymont Sunday.  Jim Saddlemeyer had a HR, double and knocked in 5 runs.  Andy Garr hit his first career triple.  Eric Gendusa picked up the 21-3 win on the mound.

 

Waupaca beats Plover

Waupaca only had 6 hits (2 each from Yeska, Josh Peterson, and a HR and Double from Wes Austin) to win 3-1 over Plover.  Both Zac Peterson and Chris Simonson went the distance pitching.

 

Manawa picks up their 3rd win in a row defeating New London 8-3.  Manawa’s Adam Grosskopf continues his hot hitting going 3 for 4 with a double and 3 RBIs, Manawa’s Nate Krake added 3 hits.  Jeremy Bauer got on base safely 5 times.

 

Scandy stays in 2nd place with a 6-2 win over Rosholt, Scandy’s Matt Mehne hit a 3-run HR and Jesse Dickert hit a 2-run HR.  Dave Rogers of Rosholt hit his division leading 3rd HR of the season.
