One Bad Inning

Wes Austin and Waupaca teammates gave up 5 runs including 4 errors in the top of the 4th inning.

Little Falls wins Grand Championship 8-4

Waupaca pulled within 2 runs in the 5th inning, but Dusty Reid (Grand Championship MVP) hit a 2-run homer in the 9th to put the game out of reach.  Zac Peterson’s (CG, 9H, 6K) pitching wasn’t a factor due to Waupaca having 6 errors at crucial times.

Loggers’ Tim Heise broke a scoreless tie in the 3rd with a solo home run.  In the next inning, Heise hit a 2 run triple to take a 6-0 lead.

Wes Austin’s 4th inning 2-run home run put the Lakemen on the board but still trailed 6-2.

The game ended when Dusty Reid (CG, 11H, 14K) finished a strong pitching performance striking out Rocky Mondello.
