South Central Division Playoffs

Waupaca to play at Clintonville

In the division championship game Waupaca gets past Plover 3-1. Drew Tometczak scored the only run for Plover, he stole 2^nd and 3^rd and scored on Brian Brom’s sac fly. Jeff Riddle pitched a 3 hit complete game striking out 4. Riddle was also part of the Waupaca 5^th inning when they scored 3 runs, Andy Wanty hit a line drive over the right fielder’s head to the wall, 2 runs scored. Wanty then scored on Kaminske’s sac fly to center. 2010 pitcher of the year Jason Jones pitched a complete game striking out 8 but took the loss collecting 3 earned runs.

Division playoffs first round:

In a wild game at Waupaca Scandinavia tied the game when Andy Garr blasted a 3 run homer to right center. Scandy scored 2 runs in the 9^th with help from an RBI single by Jack Marx, Scandy took a 5-3 lead until the bottom of the 9^th when the first two hitters reached base and Jason Wanty singled in both runs. Andy Wanty later in the inning hit a deep fly to center and Jason Wanty was doubled off first ending the inning. In the 11^th inning Luke Behm singled home Jeff Riddle and Waupaca won 6-5

Plover shutout the 4 seed Wey-Mont Whitebass. Jason Jones struck out 14 as part of his complete game. Jordan Baitinger struck out 12 and took the loss. Shane Standifer homered for Plover while Kyle Bosquez went 2 for 4 for Wey-Mont.
