Berrens / Yeska tie for batting championship

At the Scandy corn roast Sunday David Yeska helped Waupaca beat New London 3-2 by going 1 for 3 with a double and a walk in his final plate appearance, Keith Ver Kuilen pinch ran and scored the winning run.

In the second game of the double header Jason Berrens went 2 for 2 and scored 2 runs to help Scandy beat Lanark 9-4. The game was called in the 6^th due to weather. Scandy finished the regular season in third place with a 6-6 record.

Plover wins first place in the South Central with a win Sunday over Manawa. Shane Standifer and Chris Simonson both had 2 hits, Matt Simonson was the winning pitcher.
