Last Week of 2009

Manawa falls short of playoffs losing in Plover 3-0. Chris Simsons of Plover pitched 7.1 shutout inngins striking out 7. Chris Simonson also went 2 for 3 with an RBI double. Adam Marcy had the only 2 hits for Manawa.

Lanark finishes 2009 with a 9-8 win over Rosholt. Jeremy Christensen had the game winning hit and also picked up the win on the mound. Dave Rogers of Rosholt hit 2 home runs leading the division in ’09 with 5. Justin Christensen hit a HR for Lanark and Bill Oswald had 3 hits.

Scandy beats Waupaca and finishes 9-5. Willie Rosenthal had 4 hits for Scandy, RJ Rosenthal added 3 hits and picked up the win pitching. Jesse Dickert of Scandy hit a Grand Slam, and Matt Mehne and Jeremy Moe homered for Scandy.

New London beat Weymont 14-7. Matt Bruette of NL hit his first wood bat HR going 3 for 5 and scoring 3 runs. Eric Rasmussen hit a HR for New London, and Jake Hermsen went 3 for 5 and will take the 2009 batting title with a .468 average. Robbie Struck went 3 for 4 for Weymont.
