Week 7

Waupaca sneaks by Scandinavia 6-4 to stay undefeated (6-0).  Scandy’s Willie Rosenthal hit 2 doubles, Berrens and Marx added 2 hits each.

Waupaca’s Zac Peterson picks up the win on the mound, Casey McDaniel hit his first 2 home runs of his BABA career.

 

Manawa wins their second game in a row beating Plover 9-3.  Manawa’s Jeremy Dunnihoo pitched 7 innings striking out 6 and had 3 hits (2 doubles), Jason Steinbach had 4 hits for Manawa.  Chris Simonson went 3 for 4 from the plate for Plover.

 

Friday night in Rosholt Aaron Dobbe tied the game in the 8th with a home run for Rosholt.  Lanark’s illegal substitution cost them in the 9th when the player enter for the already re-entered Jon Buelow made a costly error and Lanark lost 2-1.  Aaron Dobbe also picked up the victory pitching a complete game striking out 9.

 

The Weymont White Bass won their first game of the year beating New London 10-3.  Dion Behm of Weymont had a big game from the plate (4x5, 3 runs, RBI), teammate Zack Alix had 2 hits including a 3 run double.  New London’s Eric Rasmussen had 2 hits and an RBI.

Monday, June 22, Waupaca takes their first lost of the season giving up 6 runs in the bottom of the 9th to New London.  Jake Hermsen hit a 2 run double for the walk off win, Hermsen also picked up the win on the mound.  Kyle Prey had 4 hits for the Merchants, Ross Visocky had 3 hits and scored twice.  Travis Holat of Waupaca had an inside the park grand slam.
